On International Day of Persons with Disabilities, key steps are being taken to ensure that vulnerable people such as persons with disabilities (PWDs) do not feel isolated in society.

It is a well-established fact that the VOC workforce is more resilient and loyal, and firms today are more interested in investing in and attracting a skilled workforce from diverse backgrounds.
This sentiment is echoed by Tarini Malhotra, founder of the Nai Subah Foundation: “In the journey to end disability, we still have a long way to go. We are all different and perceive and experience the world uniquely. Autism” Neurodiversity is not a “disability”, but a different form of being. However, currently only 25 percent (about 34 lakh) of the employable PWD talent is employed across sectors.’
The fact that the PWD workforce is strong and committed is better understood, and corporations today are more interested in investing in professionals from diverse backgrounds.
